CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS WITH DOUBLE MECHANICAL SEAL

MECHANICAL SEAL - Can cause total shut down when they fail. No secondary containment is available.

TIME-CONSUMING MAINTENANCE - Motor and bearing lubrication levels must be continually monitored.

Conventional Mechanical Seal Pump

SEPARATE MOTOR AND PUMP - Must constantly kept in proper alignment. Motor is exposed. A foundation is necessary to support the increased weight and reduce the danger of misalignment.

ELEVATED NOISE LEVEL - Separate motor cooling fan is required. Rotating fan greatly contributes to noise increase.

MAGNET DRIVE PUMPS

THIN CONTAINMENT SHELL - Subject to damage by magnets and subsequent leakage. No secondary containment.

SEPARATE MOTOR AND PUMP - Must constantly kept in proper alignment. Motor is exposed. A foundation is necessary to support the increased weight and reduce the danger of misalignment.

Magnetic Drive Pump

MANY BEARINGS - All must be checked frequently for proper lubrication. Increased chance of bearing failure and pump shut down. Bearings with impeller shaft cannot be easily monitored.

ELEVATED NOISE LEVEL - Separate motor cooling fan is required. Rotating fan greatly contributes to noise increase.
